CENSUS: Sedgley 1851, Lower Gornal, HO107 2030 247 20 Sedgley 1861, Lower Gornal, RG09 2047 104 2 Sedgley 1871, 55 Ruiton St, Lower Gornal, RG10 3009 15 24 Sedgley 1881, 75 Ruiton St, Lower Gornal, RG11 2873 88 25 Sedgley 1891, 20 Ruiton St, Lower Gornal, RG12 2291 128 11 Sedgley 1901, 20 Ruiton St, Lower Gornal, RG13 2739 55 10 Sedgley 1911, 11 Hermit Row, Upr Gornal, RG14PN17397 RG78PN1066 RD372 SD3 ED5 SN147. The 1911 Census shows Eliza Ann living as a widowed boarder with Jane Pritchard (b1844), Martha Tomlinson (b1873) and Jane's Grandaughter, Repinver Tomlinson (b1909). No evidence for a link to these people exists as yet. Mary Brettel-Vaughan (nee Cartwright) RIN 350 stated that Eliza Ann Ball was taken back to Sedgley to be buried in the family grave at Ruiton Chapel, after she died in Wigan. Mary said that she herself tended the grave. Bill Adams found an entry for Elizabeth Ann Westwood, died 7 Beech Hall St., Wigan, buried 29 January 1939, aged 93 years.
